History of company

Parkdale Parkdale is proud to be the largest sales yarn spinner in the world. We are also the largest single consumer of cotton, using in excess of 25,000 bales of cotton per week. We have 29 state-of-the-art mills producing over 16,000,000 lbs. of yarn per week. We employ open-end spinning, ring-spinning, and Murata Air Jet spinning. Our yarns are knitted or woven in a variety of end uses. We offer the widest count range available from any spinner. We provide yarns in 100% cotton, numerous poly/cotton blends, as well as 100% polyester. We employ an engineered cotton selection that includes Pima cotton and Egyptian cotton. We have the largest combing capacity in this hemisphere. To maintain our industry leading position, we have constantly modernized, insuring that our plants are equipped with the latest techniques. This state-of-the-art infrastructure combined with newly acquired assets enables us to offer a wide array of new products and to add additional value to our existing product line. We are proud to proclaim that Parkdale is the premier manufacturer of cored yarn. We have the capacity to produce Lycra/Spandex cored yarns in counts from 6/1 to 36/1 ne. Indeed, we can offer virtually any combination of core and/or wrap fiber combination.

Amsler slub yarns are also offered in both open-end spun and ringspun varieties, done in all cotton, poly/cotton, and poly/rayon blends. All cotton yarns are available in open-end, ring spun yarns that employ long staple Pima cotton for a very strong yarn with a luxurious hand. We are proud to be a prominent supplier of yarns made from 100% Egyptian cotton as well as various blends of Egyptian cotton and polyester. These yarns are available in both carded and combed cotton varieties of open-end and ring spun yarns.

We have several new fibers used in our product range. Recognizing the market demand for performance fabrics, we offer yarns employing DAK's Hydrotec fiber that affords the finest moisture management available today. Our count range has enlarged as we are now able to offer quality yarns in counts heretofore not available anywhere in the marketplace. We spin open-end yarns from 2/1 to 50/1 Ne. These additions offer our customers significant cost reductions over the yarns they previously employed. The PremaTouch Collection is our latest innovation and offers yarns that knit into fabrics with velvet-soft hands. Available in counts from 8/1 to 60/1 Ne, PremaTouch yarns are the preferred path to a more luxurious garment. Innovation is standard issue in the lexicon at Parkdale. We are bringing to our customers products that fulfill current needs, as well as and more importantly, keeping them in the forefront of their markets. These new products offer new styling opportunities, improved product quality, as well as significant price advantages. We intend to continue to push the boundaries of technology, enabling our customers to enjoy the benefits of the new products that ensue.
